Audition Info

River Valley Theatre Company is proud to present DRACULA, October 28 - November 7. Rehearsals will begin in early September. 8 adult characters (some parts are gender-flexible).

Open auditions will be held Monday, 8/30 & Tuesday, 8/31 from 6 - 9 PM at the Shakopee Junior High Auditorium, 200 E 10th Street in Shakopee. Callbacks will be held Wednesday, 9/1, by invitation. Rehearsals and performances will be held at this location as well.

Please prepare a 2-minute dramatic monologue. Dialects strongly encouraged (see below). It may be helpful to have a 2nd contrasting piece prepared.

Please bring your resume and headshot, as well as a complete list of conflicts for September 7 - November 7.

Miss Wells: nurse, teens -30s, cockney/low British
Harker: Lucy's betrothed, 20s - 30s, standard British
Dr. Seward: psychiatrist, 30s-50s, standard British
Van Helsing: scientist, 30s - 60s, Dutch
Renfield: Seward's patient, 20s - 50s, standard British
Butterworth: attendant, teens - 30s, cockney/low British
Lucy Seward: Seward's daughter, 20s - 30s, standard British
Dracula: 20s - 50s, Transylvanian/Eastern European
Chorus: 1 - 2 additional actors may be cast for Chorus
